The Supreme sacrifice of Baghajatin in the year 1915 against the tyrant Britishers, Non-cooperation movement in 1920-21 following Gandhiji’s visit, Salt Satyagraha at Inchudi in 1930 known as 2nd Dandi march has made Balasore glorified & a vibrant centre of India’s freedom struggle. Simultaneously the advocates of Balasore Judgeship since then have played a pivotal role not only in India’s Independence but also have characterized their commitment to deep legal ethical standards.
To serve legitimate interest of legal fraternity as well as the just cause of the people at large the ancestors and architects of advocate’s community consisted some advocates founded “THE BAR ASSOCIATION-BALASORE” in the year 1898 having it’s registration No. 6070/27 of 1971-72 & at present the strength is more than 2000 (Two thousand) and is considered as one of the premier Bar Association of Odisha.
